# Function: updateRedirectWithBackend()

Partially updates a redirect, routing to the SCAPI or legacy backend per the
given preference (with safe `auto` fallback). Only the supplied fields change.

The source path is immutable here: the legacy backend keys the redirect by its
`from_path`, so renaming it is not expressible as an update on both backends.
